Miss SA introduces new designers while saying goodbye to old favourites

The Miss South Africa Organization is revolutionizing the fashion industry by integrating purpose-driven design with beauty, showcasing the country’s rich heritage and cultural diversity. 

The “Heritage in Motion” theme highlights the significance of African fashion, and to bring that to life Mis SA will be collaborating with a talented collective of designers.

The designers included; David Tlale, Scalo by Sello Medupe, Malondie by Londeka Buthelezi-Ndaba, Masango by Siphosihle Masango, NALA Privé by AFI, FabroSanz by Sandi Mazibuko, Tsotetsi KL by Khothatso Tsotetsi and AFI Fastrack Designers.

The inclusion of AFI Fastrack Designers and NALA Privé indicates that the partnership between the Africa Fashion International and Miss South Africa continues to strengthen.

Scalo by Sello Medupe returns to the long-running pageant after last working with them in 2021, FabroSanz by Sandi Mazibuko also returns to Miss SA after last working with the organisation in 2021.

Tsotetsi KL by Khothatso Tsotetsi makes his fashion debut on the Miss SA stage. Tsotetsi after parting ways with musician Kelly Khumalo as her longtime manager and stylist have seen him pour more into his fashion house.

Also making their debut is Masango by Siphosihle Masango who wowed Mzansi with his Hollywoodbets Durban July theme interpretation on his clients.

The changes within the Miss SA organisation are across the board with several designers such as Gert Johan Coetzee, Anel Botha, William de Beer of Willett Couture not returning to the pageant.

Earler this month, Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, Executive Chairman of Miss South Africa and Founder of Africa Fashion International, announced the appointment of Basetsana Khumalo and Peggy Sue Khumalo as Co-Chairs of the 2025 Miss South Africa New Era Subcommittee.

There will be only nine ladies, competiting at the finale after Lebohang Msimanga, made the decision to voluntarily withdraw.
