Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela confirmed the news on X, sharing:
“Inimba gets extended. Due to its popularity, The Milton Company produced telenovela, Inimba, has been extended by an additional 90 episodes for its first season. The first season of the show was initially contracted for 130 episodes, but the show has proven to be a hit and will now end the season at 220 episodes.”
Mphela also revealed that MultiChoice is committed to offering new telenovelas at least two seasons unless the show fails to meet viewership targets. He added,
“With that, it is safe to assume that #InimbaMzansi has a guaranteed second season in the pipeline as well.”
