The “King Kylie” era is making its comeback.
Nearly a decade later, American media personality Kylie Jenner is reviving the iconic era through her new collection named after it.
Jenner began sharing screenshots of fan suggestions for what she should bring back to the collection if she ever decided to revive the “King Kylie” era.
The 28-year-old then teased her “Glosses Part II” music video, a follow-up nearly one decade later to her “Glosses Part I” video, with a track titled “ 3 Strikes” by Terror Jr.

If you do not know which music video I’m talking about, let’s recap a little bit.
In 2016, Jenner released a music video called “Glosses” to promote a new line of lipsticks for her brand.
The music video had a heist-like structure, showcasing an action-movie narrative with Jenner and her friends stealing money over showcasing the product’s texture.
The collection featured names of the lipsticks, which were called “Like” and “Literally”.
She has now released part two of “Glosses” on Snapchat, which showcases her being released from prison 10 years later after being captured during the “King Kylie” era, which symbolises the comeback.
Jenner took to Instagram and revealed that she is releasing the “King Kylie” collection because her fans have been demanding it for quite a while now.
“This King Kylie Collection is truly for you!!! You’re the reason my biggest cosmetic dream came true, and I wouldn’t be here … 10 years later without your support.
“I’ve seen all your messages asking for a King Kylie collection, the fearless era that I had a dream at just 17 years old! And that’s why I posted that tweet back in 2022. I wanted to give you exactly what you’ve been waiting for,” she wrote.
She further thanked all her supporters and revealed that the collection launched on October 18, however, it is unknown when it will be released globally.
The years 2016 and 2017 were such iconic moments for Jenner, who created some staple trends including bright coloured wigs, matte lipstick, long nails and outfits that ended up being liked globally.
To prove that she is indeed a trendsetter, at one point in life, every girl had either a blue, purple, pink or black lipstick (I had a black one).
Now, the Kylie Cosmetics founder is bringing all that back, but not everyone is up for it, as some fans online are saying that she cannot reheat the nachos because of her “clean girl” aesthetic she now has.
@gelsonluz said: “I think it is cool she is embracing a fan-favourite chapter. It shows she listens to her supporters, but re-invention is often more exciting than revival.”
While @Mira2017D wrote: “She’s really trying hard to revive that era, but the magic just isn’t hitting the same anymore.”
