Popular socialite and club DJ Cyan Boujee has once again found herself at the centre of controversy after a clip from her interview on the Open Chats Podcast went viral. The video shows Cyan mocking popular YouTuber Ghost Hlubi’s physical appearance — a moment that quickly sparked backlash online.

The short clip, shared on X (Twitter) by user @RealSihleIV on Monday, shows Cyan laughing and imitating the way Ghost Hlubi walks, joking that he looks like he has had BBL surgery. She also made it clear that she would never date him, confidently saying:
“He won’t. That’s the only opportunity that he had of me. That is crazy.”
The full episode, which premiered on 6 October, dives deeper into Cyan’s personal life. She spoke about her relationship status, previous partners, and addressed ongoing allegations that she’s a gold digger. However, it was her comments about Ghost Hlubi that stole all the attention online — for all the wrong reasons.
Following the viral clip, Cyan took to her Instagram Stories (now deleted) to defend herself and throw more shade at the YouTuber. She wrote:
“Little ms Princess Bullfrog behaviour. I was asked to prank call Ghost on Open Chats and he hung up faster than his digestion system. I guess I wasn’t within the renting car budget huh? Save up your money and go to the gym. You look like we come from the same BBL doctor. With a face shaped like an unfinished project.”
Her words didn’t sit well with many social media users, who called her out for body-shaming Ghost Hlubi and being hypocritical, given her own history with cosmetic surgery.
One user, @theoutsid3r10, commented: “Not her body-shaming Ghost Hlubi after having so many surgeries because of her insecurities. At least Ghost Hlubi’s BBL is natural.”
Another user, @itshere_already, added: “‘I’m just sad about how you think,’ as if yena, she thinks better.”
Meanwhile, @Mgqilazi10 weighed in on the double standards: “Body-shaming is only reserved for guys. Only if a lady does it, it’s completely fine.”
