After a rough start to the competition and online discourse about the Miss SA Top 10 finalist, Bridgett Jones, the organisation has released a statement confirming that the bullying allegations were found to be untrue.
Jones found herself at the centre of drama after content creator and her former colleague, Kayla Jenecker, claimed that she was bullied by Jones.
However, on Friday, September 26, the Miss SA organisation debunked the claims made by Jenecker after getting in touch with Jones’ former employer.
“We take such matters seriously and have engaged directly with her former employer, the South African Medical and Education Foundation (SAME Foundation), to ensure that allegations are addressed with the appropriate context.

“The SAME Foundation has formally confirmed that the allegations are false. In an official statement, the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer categorically denied that any bullying or harassment took place during the finalist’s employment,” the organisation revealed.
They further added that how Jenecker described Jones was completely untrue, and she was actually the opposite.
“On the contrary, she was consistently described as professional, respectful and exemplary in her conduct,” they shared.
In addition, the Miss SA organisation shared that they do not condone bullying or harassment of any form.
Before finding the claims about Jones false, the organisation acknowledged the claims and revealed that they would take the necessary steps to investigate the matter.
While Jones also acknowledged the claims and shared that she had already left the company by the time everything took place.
“The matter referenced relates to my former employer and colleagues in a legal case in which I had no involvement. By the time those proceedings took place, I had already left the company,” she shared in a statement.
Jenecker has since removed the multiple videos she made about Jones on her TikTok account.
The Miss SA finale will be taking place on Saturday, October 25, at SunBet Arena in Pretoria.
