This past weekend, some of Mzansi’s biggest stars stepped out in their best looks for the highly anticipated Glamour South Africa’s Most Glamorous Fashion Awards 2025. Held on Saturday, 19 July, in Johannesburg, the stylish event celebrated fashion-forward individuals who aren’t afraid to be bold, confident, and daring in their style choices.
One of the big winners of the night was actress and radio host Thando Thabethe, who walked away with the Most Stylish Media Personality award. This award honours someone in the media industry who always shows up looking their best, inspiring fans through both fashion and hard work.
Thando proudly shared the news on Instagram, writing: “Got named @glamour_sa most glamorous media personality. I’ve worked hard over my almost 20 year career and it feels good to be recognised. This award is a reminder that it’s important to look good while working hard towards your dreams.
Also shout out to my mom, the most glamorous woman I know, who continues to inspire me. An ode to all the women who make even the hardest moments look glamorous. #GMG2025. Thank you @glamour_sa for the recognition.”
Miss South Africa 2023, now known as Natasha Vermaak after getting married, won the Classic Elegance Award, which is given to someone who always looks timeless and graceful, no matter the trend. Natasha also expressed her joy, saying: “@glamour_sa Most Glamorous Awards 2025! Thank you so much Glamour for honouring me with this award. Forever a special evening for me.”
Fashionista Siya Bunny, whose real name is Siyanda Bani, was honoured with the Best Personal Style Award for her creative and bold fashion that shows off her unique personality.
On Instagram, she shared a heartfelt message: “Winning Glamour’s Most Glamorous award for the SECOND Time feels surreal not only because of the title, but for what it represents. It’s a powerful nod to the effort, the obsessive attention to detail, the vision boards, the fittings, the edits, the risks… all the invisible threads that hold fashion content together.
This recognition reminds me that storytelling through style isn’t just about looking good — it’s about feeling seen, while making others feel seen too. Thank you, @glamour_sa, for honouring the work behind the beauty. For celebrating glam & grit.
And thank you to every person who positively engages with my content online, I appreciate my community on this corner of the internet.”
Media personality Pamela Mtanga was named Style Influencer of the Year, an award that celebrates someone who shapes fashion trends through their online presence and inspires their followers with their sense of style.
Legendary singer Thandiswa Mazwai received the prestigious Fashion Icon Award, which is a lifetime achievement honour given to someone whose fashion choices have made a lasting impact in the industry.
The Glamour Most Glamorous event was not just about stunning outfits, it was about celebrating hard work, authenticity, and the power of self-expression through fashion.
