One of South Africa’s favourite food and music festivals, DStv Delicious, is back — and this year, fans are in for a real treat. Music icon Lauryn Hill will headline the festival as part of her 25th Anniversary Tour for her classic album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
The Grammy Award-winning singer will take the stage alongside longtime collaborator and fellow Fugees star Wyclef Jean. Also joining them for special appearances are Ziggy Marley and YG Marley, making this one of the most exciting line-ups the festival has ever had.
The festival will be held on 20 and 21 September at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand, Gauteng, just in time to celebrate Heritage Month.
Fans can also look forward to top South African talent. Joyous Celebration Rewind will bring powerful gospel performances with familiar voices, including Khaya Mthethwa, the Idols SA winner and Crown Gospel Award recipient.
Celebrated artist Mandisi Dyantyis, known for mixing African sounds with jazz, will also take the stage. He’ll perform alongside Zoe Modiga, a fast-rising Afro-jazz singer who has been recognised with awards like Glamour’s Woman of the Year and the Standard Bank Young Artist Award.
The legendary Lira, who has won 11 Sama Awards, will also perform as she continues her return to music.
