Nomzamo Mbatha is celebrating a big moment in her career – 10 years of being the face of skincare brand Neutrogena. The actress and humanitarian marked the special milestone on Instagram, sharing how proud and grateful she is for the journey.
“TEN YEARS of an incredible partnership that helped to change the course of my life. Happy Anniversary @neutrogenasa, we’ve come a long way! Thank you for trusting me and for staying the course. From being a young girl dreaming of being the face of this incredible brand that I loved and believed – to becoming the first on the continent! What a dream and I count myself very fortunate! P.S. Thank you vision board,” she wrote.
In a heartfelt video, Nomzamo looked back at how it all started. She remembered how her dream became a reality back in 2014, when she added a Neutrogena product to her vision board.
“The year was 2014, exactly 11 years ago I was sitting on the floor doing my vision board and on my vision board I was very particular to find this brand and I found a picture of a face wash and I put it on my vision board. Two weeks later my agent at the time called me and said there’s this brand called Neutrogena and they want you to be the very first face of the brand in the continent and in South Africa. I could not believe it!”
She continued: “Fast track a couple of months later and we officially launched in June 2015 and announced it to the world that yes, Nomzamo is going to be the face of Neutrogena. Ten years later and it has been the most incredible years of my life. So happy ten years Neutrogena. Thank you for believing in me at a time when I was still figuring out myself, you’ve given me the permission to stand tall amongst the greatest.”
She also thanked the brand for helping her and others feel confident in their own skin: “Here’s to ten years of a wonderful partnership. Thank you for teaching me and every single woman who has engaged in our community how to love the skin we’re in. But most importantly, you’ve taught me to see what’s possible.”
Her fans flooded the comments with praise. One follower said, “You were actually the reason behind my first big girl skincare purchase back in 2020. Immediately fell in love with the hydroboost range.”
Another fan added, “Ahhh congratulations Sis, now time flies! They really picked the right person for the job and they were clearly a perfect match too.”
