A new addition to the De Klerk team has been announced!
The Springboks’ Faf de Klerk and wife, Miné shared joyful news of their pregnancy and also confirmed the gender of their baby.
The De Klerks have announced on their social media pages at the weekend that they are expecting baby #2 in a cute video with their one-year-old daughter, Remi-Ré.
The couple used their cheeky swimwear line, Faffies, to share their pregnancy news.
In the video, Miné and Faf are each holding two Faffies, in blue and pink. Their daughter shortly appears on the video and chooses the pink one, confirming that it is a girl.
“Surprise! We’re growing the De Klerk team! Big sister Duty: Pick the Faffie of our new teammate… another girl on the way,” the couple excitedly captioned their joint Instagram post.

Fellow rugby wives and friends filled the comment section with congratulatory messages for the couple.
Frances Reinach commented: “Congratulations you guys!”
Miss South Africa 2008, Tatum Keshwar expressed: “Beautiful guys! Congratulations.”
While Marise Pollard added: “Yeayyyyyy!!! I’m so excited.”
Miné and Faf tied the knot in October 2022 at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek after being together for almost six years.
In January 2024, they revealed to the public that they were expecting their first child. Later in February, baby Remi-Ré de Klerk was joyfully welcomed into the world.
Early this year, Miné and Faf shared cute pictures of her first berry-themed birthday party.
They captioned their joint Instagram post: “Remi-Ré’s Berry First Birthday. We love you precious baby girl.”
The De Klerks are not the only rugby couple that announced that they are expecting.
Just two weeks ago, Eben and Anlia Etzebeth also revealed that they are expecting their second child and also confirmed that it is a girl.
While a month ago, Handré Pollard and wife, Marise, also shared that they are expecting their second child, a baby girl.
