The Real Housewives of Durban star Nqobile Ndlela, popularly known as Angel, is smiling brighter than ever after getting a dental makeover in Turkey. The reality TV star recently revealed her new teeth on Instagram, sharing her personal journey and the reasons behind her decision.
Angel flew to Istanbul last month to have her teeth fixed by professionals at the Dentorjin Dental Health Clinic. For her, this wasn’t just about beauty—it was also about health and healing.
“We LIVE with our insecurities until we don’t HAVE to,” Angel wrote on Instagram. “My teeth had always been an insecurity of mine, and even though I grew to love and accept them from a very young age, I’d always wanted to have better-looking teeth.”
Despite her early insecurity, Angel never let it hold her back. She confidently appeared on TV and in public with her natural smile. But after seeing her smile on-screen, she decided it was time for a change.
“I never let that stop me from pursuing my dreams, and even comfortably being in the public eye with my crooked smile. And so, I finally got the opportunity to fix my smile and oral hygiene with @dentorjinclinic in Turkey. And to say I’m over the moon with the results would be an understatement,” she shared.
On her Instagram stories, Angel opened up even more, revealing that she kept her gap the first time she tried composite bonding. But this time, she chose to close it.
“I’ve always had bad teeth hey, kept the gap the first time around but we’re closing it this time. Even before the composite bonding, I was never insecure ’cause ion care what people think about me,” she said. “What influenced this decision this time around was seeing my teeth on TV and I didn’t really like the gap anymore.”
Angel encouraged others to make changes if they can, but only for the right reasons. “If you can afford to change something you don’t like, go for it. Just make sure you’re doing it FOR YOU,” she advised. She also thanked the dental team in Turkey, revealing that they uncovered some serious long-term health issues during her treatment. “So this to me isn’t just a cosmetic transformation.”
