R950,000 taxpayer bill for Mashatile and spouse’s accommodation in 4-day Japan trip

Eight officials from Mashatile’s office accompanied him, with the total cost amounting to R2.3 million.

Taxpayers footed an accommodation bill of over R950,000 for Deputy President Paul Mashatile and his spouse Humile during their recent visit to Japan.

Mashatile’s four-day working visit took place between 16 and 19 March 2025.
