Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence’s children said “I Do” without their parents present at the wedding.
Murphy appeared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” and confirmed that his son, Eric Murphy and Martin Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmin Page Lawrence, tied the knot in a private ceremony.
Hudson asked him if he was going to sing at his son’s wedding and that’s when he revealed the news.
“Actually they got married like two weeks ago, they went off. Everybody was making big wedding plans and they decided they want to do something quiet with just the two of them and they got married,” he revealed.
The host interjected, adding that the Murphy’s and Lawrence’s are now in-laws.
Murphy jokingly added: “We are now in-laws. He (Martin Lawrence) doesn’t have to pay for the big wedding now.”

The comedian also shared that it was only the newlyweds as well as the preacher that officiated the marriage.
Eric and Jasmin went public with their relationship in 2021 and after dating for more than three years, Eric proposed to Jasmin in November 2024.
The couple shared their joyful announcement in a heartwarming video posted on Instagram.
“We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter. Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful,” they captioned the joint post.

In an interview with “InTouch Weekly” in 2022, a year after they publicised their relationship Jasmin shared how she and Eric met.
She revealed, “My uncle actually introduced us, it wasn’t even our dads. And they’ve done two movies together. They’re friends. I don’t even know, it’s crazy, but we met through my uncle and, you know, we became really good friends.
“Obviously, we have similar backgrounds so we understood each other on a certain level, and over time it just, you know, became more,” Jasmin added.
