Mamelodi Sundowns have received a message of support from international music mogul DJ Khaled as they prepare to take on Pyramids FC in the CAF Champions League final.

In an initiative facilitated by Roc Nation Sports International, DJ Khaled’s message to the club can be seen in on digital billboards plastered around Gauteng.

The message on the billboards showing DJ Khaled, who has voiced his support for the Tshwane giants on numerous occasions, reads: “Good luck Mamelodi Sundowns, let’s go. The sky is the limit!”

Two further digital billboards will be flighted at the iconic Nelson Mandela Square and on Katherine Street – both in Sandton – to celebrate Sundowns clinching an eighth successive league title, as well as to build further excitement for the club’s participation in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

DJ Khaled is a long-time supporter of Sundowns, and the face of the “We The Best” movement. The iconic American artist has also recorded a selection of hype messages, which will be shown on the big screens at Loftus on matchday.

“As a global connector, this latest display of allegiance from DJ Khaled is another testament to the award-winning artist’s undeniable affection for Mamelodi Sundowns, adding to a long line of previous examples of his support for the club,” Roc Nation say in a statement released on Friday.

“He is also looking forward to welcoming the team to Miami and the US when they travel to the Club World Cup next month.”

The first leg of the CAF Champions League final will be played at Loftuc Versfeld in Tshwane on Saturday. Eight days later, the teams will head to the 30 June Stadium in Cairo for the deciding second leg.
