Kourtney Kardashian Barker, the proud mother of seven, recently delighted listeners on the latest episode of the “Khloé in Wonder Land” podcast, where she shared intimate insights into her parenting approach since welcoming her son Rocky in November 2023.

The conversation with her sister Khloé Kardashian provided an engaging glimpse into the world of her blended family life as she navigates motherhood with grace and a touch of spontaneity.

In the podcast, the 47-year-old revealed her unique parenting style, heavily influenced by attachment principles.

She believes in holding her 18-month-old son throughout his entire nap times, a practice she finds both comforting and conducive to bonding.

“I hold him for the whole time,” she told Khloé, recalling a time when she held Rocky for five hours straight.

“I’ll sit in my little chair, usually in the room, with my breastfeeding pillow and a little radiation blanket. It’s just us together.”

Unlike her sister, who likes to schedule activities and outfits meticulously throughout the day, Kourtney embraces a more fluid approach to parenting.

“We’re just kind of, go with the flow,” she said.

While Kourtney shares Rocky with her husband, musician Travis Barker, she is also a mother to Mason, Penelope and Reign from her relationship with Scott Disick.

Meanwhile, Barker has three children of his own, Landon, Alabama, and his stepdaughter, Atiana, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

Kourtney’s treasured her time with Rocky has opened up a conversation about whether or not it is safe to carry a sleeping baby.

According to the Safe Sleep Guidelines outlined by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), babies should ideally sleep on their backs in a crib or bassinet that meets safety standards to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

The guidelines also point out that if moms are holding baby, they need to ensure that they are fully awake and can supervise them to prevent any accidents.

“It’s a good idea to transition your baby to their crib or bassinet once they are asleep, to follow safe sleep practices.” read the online site.

Parents are cautioned against snuggling on couches or chairs due to the increased risk of accidental suffocation.
