Award-winning singer Cici has joined forces with rising star Naledi Aphiwe to release a heartfelt new song titled “Amen”. The emotional single dropped ahead of the release of Cici’s much-anticipated fourth studio album, Busisiwe 2.0.
Cici, whose real name is Busisiwe Thwala, is preparing to make a big return to music. Her last album, Busisiwe, came out in 2021. Now at 38, the singer is ready to share the next chapter of her journey — one filled with healing, growth, and empowerment. Amen sets the tone for what’s to come.
“This is just the beginning,” said Cici. “Amen has set the tone for the journey ahead as I get ready for the release of my fourth studio album. This project is a continuation of my story, which is rooted in healing, growth and celebrating womanhood.”
She also promised that her new album will show how much she has grown as an artist. With personal songs and powerful collaborations, Busisiwe 2.0 will offer fans a more mature and deeper version of Cici’s music.
Cici is no stranger to success. In 2016, she won three major awards at the Metro FM Music Awards, including Best R&B Singer, Best Styled Video, and Best Compilation Feature. Over the years, she’s worked with top musicians like Lady Amar, JL SA, Murumba Pitch, and DJ Zinhle.
The song Amen also holds deep meaning for Naledi Aphiwe, the young singer featured on the track. Naledi, whose full name is Naledi Aphiwe Myongwane, is just 18 years old but already making waves in the music industry.
“Working with Cici was a dream come true,” Naledi shared. “I looked up to her when I was younger. I used to always listen to her songs. She’s my mentor and industry mum. The song means a lot to me. I was able to express how I feel about my mum’s passing.”
