Bonang Matheba, one of South Africa’s most stylish and successful media personalities, is raising her glass to a new milestone. Her popular luxury beverage brand, House of BNG, will soon be available at Pick n Pay stores across the country—and fans couldn’t be more excited. But that’s not all. There’s also a possible fun new drink idea in the works: a BNG mimosa!
Bonang, also known as “Queen B,” first launched House of BNG in March 2019 in Johannesburg. It started with classy sparkling wines like Brut and Brut Rosé, made in South Africa’s version of the champagne style, called Méthode Cap Classique (MCC). Since then, the brand has grown into one of the top luxury drinks in the country, with many people choosing it for special occasions and stylish events.
In 2024, Bonang added something fresh to the BNG collection: the non-alcoholic Nectar Rosé in a can. This pretty pink drink is bubbly, refreshing, and perfect for any moment—whether it’s a picnic at the beach, a rooftop party, or a sunset safari. The cans are recyclable and chill quickly, and they come in a four-pack with a fancy BNG logo carry bag. It’s perfect for people who want the BNG sparkle without the alcohol.
Bonang Matheba recently made a proud announcement on social media. She posted, “Finally… @houseofbng launches in @PicknPay in 2 weeks!! We DID IT!” The post instantly grabbed attention and received lots of love from fans. One follower, PetuniaTsweleng, cheered her on by writing, “Congratulations, Queen B! Great news indeed!”

This move to Pick n Pay is a dream come true for Bonang. Back in 2021, she tweeted, “Pick n Pay, I’m coming for you next.” Now, that dream is finally becoming reality.
And there’s more to sip on. Bonang recently teased the idea of launching a BNG mimosa. She asked her followers on X, “Guys, should we make a BNG mimosa?!” The response was loud and clear—yes, please!

Fans jumped in with fun suggestions. @PebblesNeo replied, “Yes, but please add more alcohol and not too much juice. A teaspoon of orange juice is enough, Queen!” Another follower, @FordMachangane, said, “This shouldn’t be a question, but an announcement of BNG Mimosa in cans.” And @tshepomojahii added, “It would only make sense! Most of the girlies and gays love champagne, darling, because of you, MOTHER!”
House of BNG is already available at stores like Woolworths, Makro, Ultra Liquors, and Takealot. And with Pick n Pay joining the list, it’ll be even easier for fans to get their hands on Bonang’s bubbly creations.
As for the mimosa? If Queen B makes it happen, it’s sure to be a hit!
