Culinary enthusiasts, read up because “The Taste Master SA” is set to return for its highly anticipated sixth season.
This season, we will be seeing ten contestants from all over country battle it out through weekly culinary challenges for the grand prize of R200,000 and the title of being the season six winner.
Season six is shaking things up! The previous two seasons, contestants were mostly baking; however, this season, things are heating up because contestants will have to up their game because they will be dabbling in between savoury and sweet, cooking and baking.
Making her return as well in this brand new season is renowned celebrity chef and author Zola Nene, who is a part of the show’s judging panel and will be utilising her culinary skills to guide the contestants.
“I’m so excited to be guiding a new generation of culinary talent. This season is not just about skills – it’s about storytelling through food. We have incredible contestants, amazing guest judges, and challenges that will truly push creativity to the edge,” Nene shared.

“The Taste Master SA” season five winner was Renuka Lallbahadur, who won a grand prize of R150 000.
Catch “The Taste Master SA” on SABC 2 every Tuesday at 7.30pm, with repeats on Wednesdays at 1pm and Sundays at 4pm.
