Multi-award-winning rapper Cardi B is currently trending due to a photoshopped picture of her circulating online after social media users altered the picture, giving it a “botched face” look.
Social media users sparked a lot of conversation online about the overuse of fillers and Botox, referencing her picture.
The rapper was attending the Met Gala after party and the paparazzi captured some pictures of her in a black dress, essentially capturing the look of the night.

However, Cardi B is known to be a queen of clapbacks and the 32-year-old rapper swiftly clapped back at critics by posting a video of herself with no makeup or filter.
She captioned her post: “Am I really that bad of a b*** that y‘all always gotta edit my pictures to fake try to humble me with insults on this app? Anyways, no filter, no makeup, just me and this wig I had on for days. THANK YOU!!”

Some social media users defended her and claimed that the viral picture is edited and what everyone is doing to Cardi B is just sad and unnecessary.
“Everyone has unflattering pictures, but taking a photo that was already snapped mid facial expression and editing it to make it more unflattering so people can dogpile is just sad and unnecessary.
“I wish people would be nicer to women. Why are our looks always the punchline?” @lilcatpuke wrote.

This is not the first time that the “WAP” hitmaker went viral for her looks.
In 2024, after giving birth to her third child, the rapper was accused of having plastic surgery immediately after giving birth.
A video of her was circulating, and she had a tiny waist, depicting an hourglass figure, and online users criticised and accused her of having plastic surgery. However, she addressed the online rumours and said that she had a faja (compression garment) on.
