Travellers often have varied reactions when exploring Mzansi and taking in the country’s beauty.

Most visitors are excited and ready to share or document their experience. However, a Singaporean traveller has shocked many with his reaction.

The Singaporean tourist, @coldestasian, has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a video of himself in tears whilst visiting South Africa.

In his video captioned “Asian guy cries because South Africa is a beautiful country”, the traveller is seated at a park in Johannesburg and moved to tears by the sheer natural beauty before his eyes.

From a waterfall and lush green trees to the mountain in the background of the park, the visitor couldn’t believe his eyes.

“Yoh, sorry guys. South Africa is such a beautiful country. Yoh, look at this beautiful sight. What a beauty! What a majestic sight!” said the traveller.

“My international friends, please tell me if you’d love to visit South Africa after seeing such a beautiful sight,” he added.

While some netizens reactions where indifferent, others understood how he felt and this is what they had to say:

@sincerely_siyav said: “South Africa is a spiritual place, even our music evokes the spirit because South Africa is the chosen land. I will not be able to explain this, but only time will tell.”

Another user, @Tumi_016gawd said: “I’ve been telling my friends that South Africa is the Canaan of the bible and they say I’m crazy but if you think about it we have the perfect living land and everyone wants to belong here like bible said.”

@buhlezm said: “I hope now other countries will understand why us South Africans do not need to travel, we are so much in love with our country ❤️.”

Whilst @maryketheron said: “You’re connecting to the beautiful energy of Africa baba✨.”
