Mzwandile Myende, who hails from KwaMakhutha outside of Durban in KwaZulu Natal and goes by the name Shemza in the music community, claims that he is destined for a brighter future.

Shemza began producing in 2020 and now has more than 47,000 subscribers on YouTube. Shemza told ZiMoja that he started his journey by sharing his on his Whatsapp statuses with people he cared about. I received support from my friends for starting my own channel and participating in social media. I started out doing this for fun, but now I want to take it seriously and use my talent to make money. Shemza, who is currently staying in Protea Glen in Soweto, stated, “This is one of the reasons that made me leave my comfort zone in Durban and come to Johannesburg where things are happening.”
Shemza is not only a creator but also the owner of the clothing brands Yolo and Zart. Starting from scratch is difficult due to the difficulty of obtaining financial support. I have been able to maintain my brands thanks to the support of residents of my neighborhood; they are well-known in Durban and will soon be popular in Johannesburg. By the end of the year, Shemza stated, “I want my clothing brand to be in all the big retail stores in South Africa.”
Music: Shemza recently released Valentine, a single for which he hopes to release a music video before February 14th. Shemza stated that he wants to concentrate on creation, clothing lines, and music. Shemza has also performed alongside well-known comedians from KZN, Msizi Shembe, Mondli Mzizi, Gab, and Felix Hlophe, to name a few.
