Dr. Phophi Ramathuba, also known as Phophi Constance Ramathuba, is a politician and physician from South Africa. Ramathuba has held the positions of Limpopo MEC (Member of the Executive Council) and legislator for the province since 2015. She is an African National Congress member (ANC).
At Mokopane Hospital, Dr. Phophi began her professional life as an intern. She served as the Voortrekker Hospital’s chief executive and later as the SA Medical Association’s chairperson. Ramathuba was also given a position in the provincial administration of Limpopo. She has been a member of the ANC for a very long time and is currently a member of the provincial executive committee.
Ramathuba was re-elected to the Provincial Legislature in the 2019 elections for the province of Limpopo. Mathabatha also said that she would continue serving as MEC for health.
Husband
She wasn’t married when she had her first child, according to her husband Dr. Phophi Ramathuba, who made this admission in an interview with Sowetan Live. She claimed that after receiving her first degree, her mother would inquire about her impending nuptials; however, her father would stand up for her and respond, “Her husband is a degree.” “When I received my master’s degree, he said, ‘Here is another degree, another husband,'” she continued. Why do you want her to marry so many men, then? These two degrees—her husbands—are acceptable.
Family
A family of seven welcomed Dr. Phophi Constance Ramathuba into the world. They included her, her parents, and four additional siblings. She was raised at Mashamba hamlet in Vhembe (then a part of South Africa’s Transvaal Province) with her siblings after being born in Waterval. Although her mother had not completed standard six when she was born, her father was a well-liked teacher in her neighborhood. Before going back to school and earning a diploma and two degrees, her mother was the laughingstock of the neighborhood.
