Cape Coast, Dec. 20, GNA – With a cheerful warming Christmas gesture, Mankessim-based Kingdom FM’s management team, has transformed the bustling business city into a pre- Christmas wonderland, lightening the faces of hundreds of underprivileged residents’ with their gifts.
Led by its Manager, Osiadeyo Adu Gyamfi Marneedthe initiative dubbed “Boa onnyi bi”—meaning help those in need,” the event spread radiant smiles to many across Mfantseman, Ekumfi, Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese and Assin South.
Destitutes, widows, widowers, and orphans, gathered with smiles on their faces as they feasted on sumptuous free meals and refreshing drinks.
Some youth were handed the golden tickets to Social Support for Needy apprenticeships in artisanal skills like that auto mechanics, driving, dressmaking, catering, masonry and carpentry.
These young sparks, once idling in the shadows of potentialities, have now stepped into hands-on mastery in the aforementioned trades.
Beneficiaries also received life-saving health screenings with vital medications, plus dazzling gifts like refrigerators, sewing machines, bundles of second hand clothes, sacks of rice, sugar and fizzy drinks.
The air buzzed with jubilation as a visually impaired elderly person more than 80 years old, danced from his seats to the rhythmic steps, echoing decades of resilience.
Others stormed the stage in emotional outbursts, sparking a spontaneous dance party roared with delight.


In a brief statement, Mr Marfo highlighted the Kingdom FM’s nine-year legacy of support for the less privileged, vowing to expand it.
He shared his rags-to-responsibility journey, from hawking on the streets of Accra and Kumasi to self-funded success through grit and grand.
He urged: “Learn a trade, it’s your ladder out of poverty. It builds skills for independence, steady income and resilience against life’s storms.”
Similarly, Pastor Eric Nkrumah of the Christ Awareness Church preached resilience, quoting: “You are not a reed bent by the wind; you are an oak rooted in eternity.
“Rise, for the God-factor in you and outshine any shadow,” he said as he urged faith over fleeting aid.
Mr Patrick Eshun, the General Manager of the Mankessim Ebenezer Community Co-operative Credit Union, stressed the need for mutual support.
He said “Lifting others strengthens us all, weaving tighter communities and rippling joy.”
He championed savings for security, compounded wealth, dream funding and debt freedom.
“Cherish and use these gifts wisely,” he added, noting how stewardship honoured givers, ensuring wellbeing, building accountability and inspiring more generosity.
The beneficiaries including Mr Isaac Arhin, beamed with joy, clutched his sewing machine with tears flowing down his cheeks, thanking God for answering his dream of supporting his children .
Mr Enock Koomson, an Orphan, savoured his first real feast, hugging a sack of rice saying “God bless Kingdom FM.”
Madam Elizabeth Andoh, a widow, danced around her refrigerator saying “No more spoiled food, my home will thrive”.
