Message notifications on WhatsApp will be more informative on iOS, shows new test caught this Tuesday (4). In Notification Center, incoming chat alerts display the photo of the respective contact or group.
The feature is tested exclusively on iOS 15’s WhatsApp Beta, as it takes advantage of tools included in Apple’s latest OS APIs.
The profile or contact photo is positioned on the left side of the notification, just like it is on Android. The name and preview of the content are displayed as usual. However, it was easier to identify who sent a message to the user without having to leave the Notification Center.

Unlike other WhatsApp updates, this one seems to be distributed more slowly. Don’t be surprised, therefore, if your app remains with the old notifications even if it is up to date on version 2.22.1.1, where the new style of notifications has been found.
Anyway, it’s worth keeping the app at the latest version if you’re a WhatsApp Beta user on iOS 15. In this case, check the App Store for any pending builds.
