Peter MuhlyA man has been taken to hospital after he was shot in Londonderry, police have said.
The incident happed at about 21:30 GMT in the Whitehouse Road area of the city.
It was reported to police that the man was shot in the calf and he is receiving medical treatment for his wounds.
A road closure is in place in the wider Whitehouse Road area as an investigation is under way.
Police have appealed for information.
