Where was Uhuru when Ruto was stealing? –

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has criticized President Uhuru Kenyatta for his Sagana III address held at Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri County on Wednesday.

The president endorsed the opposition leader Raila Odinga for the presidency even as he said his deputy William Ruto is not fit for the country.

Reacting to the president’s speech, Ngunjiri, who is a close ally of the DP, said the president failed to steer the government in the right direction.

“He (President) has failed completely and I think he should go home and stop talking politics. If he said that Sh3 billion have been stolen, where was he??

While appearing in an interview at NTV on Thursday midmorning, Ngunjiri said the president has the powers to direct the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the DCI to probe his deputy.

The MP also accused the president of trying to incite the Kikuyus against the DP.

“He is inciting Kikuyus against somebody. We in the Rift Valley are so worried about his incitements to the person who helped him. The president should leave this country when it is fully united.”

Ngunjiri also faulted Uhuru for firing salvos at the church.

The president had asked the church to speak the truth and stop lying to the people.

Uhuru also blamed the DP for failing to deliver in key ministries that the government previously awarded him, including the Agriculture docket.

He accused Ruto of telling lies to Kenyans in a bid to win their support.
