The 2.5 update of Genshin Impactcalled “Sakura Blossom”, will arrive in the game on February 16 with many new features for players, including events related to the story of Enkanomiya, Inazuma and Yae Miko’s debut as a 5-star character.
In an official statement, miHoYo released details of the game’s next major update. In addition to the addition of Yae, the likes of Sangonomiya Kokomi and Shogun Raiden will return for a new banner — something along the lines of the return of Albedo, Eula, Zhongli, Ganyu, and Xiao, who shared return banners during previous events.
Yae Miko, the High Priestess of Narukami Grand Shrine, has an Electro vision and will use a Catalyst as a weapon. With her Elemental and Ultimate Ability, Miko can deal both constant damage out of the field and high burst damage in the area.

The Yae Miko’s Prayer event will be available in the initial phase of the update, followed by the Prayers of Shogun Raiden and Sangonomiya Kokomi.
New Events and Bosses
Genshin Impact will receive a new seasonal event called “Offering Portal of Three Kingdoms”, which will see players explore an area based on Enkanomiya, but cursed by an unknown darkness. Upon arriving in the region, your characters can take damage through corrosive darkness. One item, called the Bokuso Box, will help adventurers resist the area’s status and will also grant new abilities to defeat certain monsters. Exploring the region by opening chests and unlocking teleport points will help raise the Bakuso Box.
The event will be active throughout the 2.5 update, with players being able to receive Essential Gems and the new 4-star “Eye of the Oath” catalyst.
New enemies will also be released during the update. In Enkanomiya, Defenders, Flag Bearers and Line Breaker are the new opponents in the region. The characters represent three types of Void Armor, with each using their own weapons and elemental energy type. If a Banner Bearer, for example, hits a character who is using a shield, he creates a shield for himself and other Void Armor around him.
Already in Inazuma, a strong enemy of the Decimated Domain will appear in the continuation of Shogun Raiden’s story. During the weekly update news broadcast, it was revealed that this version of the character will be a Weekly Boss. But which version of Archon Electro will players challenge? Hey or Baal? It will be up to the player to find out by carrying out the story missions.
Another event, called “Divine Ingenuity”, will put the creativity of Genshin Impact In practice. You will be able to create your own domain, customizing the experience with various mechanics that can make life difficult for players or help them with items that offer “buffs” to characters. You will also be able to experiment with designing other players’ domains during the event.
miHoYo also released unpublished arts of the Crag, Liyue’s new map that will only arrive in version 2.6.
Finally, fans were finally able to check out the look of Kamisato Ayato, brother of Kamisato Ayaka and Chief of the Kamisato Clan of the Yashiro Commission. There aren’t many details about the vision character Hydro yet, but more news is expected to be revealed soon.

Genshin Impact is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android and iOS devices. A Nintendo Switch version is still in development, but no date has been set.
