In an interview with Esquire, Stan said that he thinks it’s really cool to see this excitement on the part of the public and highlights that he’s an adherent of the “never say never” philosophy, making it clear that he’s totally open to the possibility of playing the character at some point.
The actor even joked about his resemblance to the original Luke Skywalker. “Mark Hamill is my dad and he knows I want to be Luke in Star Wars. I ask this every Christmas just to let him know I’m still there.”
