Windows 11 is present on 16.5% of computers running Microsoft operating systems, revealed a report by the company AdDuplex. Still far behind its predecessor, the new system grows considerably after just a few months of launch.
This difference comes just six months after Windows 11 was accounted for in 1% of computers with the new Microsoft platform. At the time, the operating system was in a trial period, still fraught with important restrictions, such as availability (only Windows Insider members had access) and functions.
If you consider the release date of October 5, 2021, Windows 11’s growth in popularity is even more remarkable — it’s just three months apart. In early December, Microsoft’s new software was already on 10% of computers within the company’s ecosystem.

Windows 11 grows fast
Last week, Windows Product Chief Panos Panay said in a statement that Windows 11 grows “twice as fast” as Windows 10. “Windows 11 also has the highest quality and satisfaction scores on the product of any other version of Windows we’ve ever released,” he added. Together the two systems, about 1.4 billion computers in the world run Windows.
Windows 11 also serves as an important gateway to the new Microsoft Store, from which Microsoft promises a revolution in app distribution. The store is governed by a new monetization policy, more lenient and open than the previous one, allowing the introduction of popular programs on the PC, such as all Adobe Lightroom, Ccleaner and Firefox.
