Google Translate’s updated look with Material You began rolling out to more users over the weekend. More modern and consistent with the look of other apps in the ecosystem, the new interface introduces dynamic colors, a new format for buttons and, most importantly, simplicity in using the app.
According to user reports highlighted by the editor of Esperdev, Mishaal Rahman, the new look of Google Translate has finally stopped being exclusive to the Pixel line. The reworked design was first seen in September, still in development, and many of the predicted features were preserved in the final version.
In the new look, the top blue bar is gone, the language selection has moved to the bottom of the screen and the complementary features — microphone, chat and camera — have also been moved to the bottom. These new positions actually make it easier to use the Translator one-handed on larger screens, as everything is at your thumb’s reach.

Dynamic Colors, an exclusive feature of Android 12, mainly interferes with the buttons at the bottom of the screen — they change color according to the wallpaper palette.

Like Gmail and Photos, it is not necessary to have a mobile phone with Android 12 to receive the news. According to user reports, the updated look also comes to Android 11, but with predominantly blue colors, as the system does not support Dynamic Colors.
As always, the update appears to roll out gradually. Check the Play Store for updates available for download. It is worth mentioning, however, that even if the program is updated, it may not appear with the new look. In this case, it remains to wait for the release of Google.
