Two and a half years after leaving the UK, Aaron Ramsey is back. Not in England this time, but in Scotland. The midfielder under contract with Juventus until June 2023 was loaned to Glasgow Rangers with an option to buy. The Welsh international (71 caps, 20 goals) has only played 5 games since the start of the 2021-2022 season with Vecchia Signora (112 minutes). The ex-Arsenal Gunner’s move to Italy has been a failure overall, although he has yet to be spared injury.
“Rangers are delighted to announce the arrival of Welsh international midfielder Aaron Ramsey on loan from Juventus until the end of the season.”, read the statement from Juve. Note that the Rangers will take over part of Aaron Ramsey’s salary for the remainder of the current fiscal year.
