Eve, Embraer arm, closes sale of 200 flying cars to Falko –

Eve Air Mobility, Embraer’s flying car division that is about to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange, started 2022 by flying high. The company announced the signing of a letter of intent to sell 200 units to Falko Regional Aircraft Limited, which specializes in aircraft operating leasing.

The partnership between Eve and Falko will begin with the establishment of a working group to collaborate with existing Falko operators to develop initial route networks where Eve’s aircraft can be deployed.

“We are very excited about our strategic partnership with Eve, which is part of our effort to be at the forefront of greening the aviation industry. We firmly believe in the eVTOL market prospects and that Eve, backed by Embraer’s experience in aircraft manufacturing, certification and support, will be the market leader,” said Jeremy Barnes, Falko’s CEO.

Embraer sees flying cars as a “sustainable solution”

Flying cars, also known as eVTOLs (Electric Vertical Take-Off Vehicles), are on the rise, and Embraer, the parent company of Eve Air Mobility, also has other strategic partners to grow, including Azorra Aviation, BAE Systems, Bradesco BBI, Republic Airways, Rolls-Royce and SkyWest.

Speaking especially about Falko’s order for 200 flying cars, Andre Stein, Co-CEO of Eve, a division of Embraer, highlighted the companies’ concern to create a “sustainable solution” for aviation.

“Our partnership not only expands our base of potential operators through Falko’s global customer presence, but also increases our ability to provide complete solutions. We are proud to have Falko as Eve’s strategic partner as our two organizations collaborate to lead a new generation of sustainable aviation innovation.”

There is still no fixed date set for the delivery of the 200 flying cars from Eve to Falko, but the idea is that production will start as soon as possible, so that everything is finalized, at the latest, by 2026.
