Siri is a nice virtual assistant created by Apple to facilitate the user’s basic tasks, such as setting alarms, creating reminders and sending messages. Currently, its English version can work at all times — connected to the internet or offline — and its use is indispensable for many users.
However, if the iPhone/iPad is with the screen covered or facing down, by default Siri is locked and should not respond to any requests. If you want to continue using voice assistant under these conditions, there is an easy way to modify this setting. Follow below how to proceed.
- Open the Settings app. Then go to “Accessibility” > “Siri”.
- Activate the option “Always listen to ‘Eai Siri”.
Ready! From now on, you can use Siri even if your device is lying on a surface or, in some cases, even in your pocket.
