Dele Momodu, Ian Gavivina Okudjeto honour helicopter crash victims – Citinewsroom – Comprehensive News in Ghana

Renowned Nigerian media mogul Chief Dele Momodu and his Ghanaian protégé Ian Gavivina Okudjeto were at the Ceremonial Garden at the Flagstaff House on August 13, 2025, to lay a wreath in honour of the eight victims who lost their lives in the August 6 helicopter crash.

Both highly respected in Africa’s media and business circles, they expressed their grief in a joint statement, describing the tragedy as “a loss to the entire African continent.”

Chief Momodu, known for his strong ties with Ghana over the years, emphasised the importance of remembering the dedication and sacrifice of the fallen.

The wreath-laying, attended by dignitaries, military officials, and bereaved families, was a solemn reminder of the nation’s collective loss.

Ian Gavivina Okudjeto reflected on the fragility of life, urging Ghanaians to value each moment and stand together in times of grief.

The pair extended heartfelt condolences to the families, colleagues, and communities affected by the tragedy.
