Ghana’s upcoming Blue Food Innovation Hub is set to ride on the government’s 24-hour economy agenda to unlock markets, finance and innovation for small and medium-scale enterprises in the aquaculture sector.

Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Aquaculture Ghana, Jacob Adjika, has revealed that the hub will align strategically with the GROW Enterprise initiative under the 24-hour Economy Authority, describing the partnership as a “perfect fit” for accelerating growth in the blue food value chain.

According to him, the collaboration will provide critical support for SMEs and startups by expanding access to funding, strengthening technical knowledge and connecting businesses to reliable markets.

“With our strong partnership with the 24-hour economy’s GROW Enterprise, we are going to unlock a lot of opportunities, including markets, innovation, knowledge, and finance for businesses who will be coming through the hub,” he said.

The move is expected to position the Blue Food Innovation Hub as a key driver of enterprise development within Ghana’s aquaculture space, while creating sustainable opportunities for young people and persons with disabilities seeking to build viable businesses in the blue economy.
