Crystal Palace hope Wilfried Zaha could make early return from hamstring injury

Zaha limped out of the 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park earlier this month and scans have revealed a hamstring tear that leaves him facing a spell on the sidelines.

The winger is expected to be out until March, but he has been a quick healer in the past and Palace still hope he could feature during a tough run of games in February.

Palace face Manchester United, Brighton, Brentford and Liverpool this month and being without Zaha would be a severe blow to manager Patrick Vieira.

Zaha, who is in the final six months of his contract and looks set to leave Palace on a free transfer in the summer, has featured for the Eagles in every Premier League match so far this season.

Palace have been unable to bring in reinforcements to strengthen their forward line and have been reliant on Zaha for a large chunk of their attacking output.

The 30-year-old is their top scorer this season with six goals, while he also has three assists.
