What time is Maple Leafs vs. Rangers? NHL on TNT game headlines Wednesday night national tv doubleheader

It’s an Original Six showdown on TNT tonight, as the Maple Leafs and Rangers headline the Wednesday night doubleheader. 

Toronto and New York are two of the stronger teams in the Eastern Conference. The Maple Leafs sit with a record of 28-11-3 and are tied with the fourth-most points in the conference. Only the Bruins have a better record in the Atlantic Division than Toronto. 

The Rangers are 25-14-7, sitting in third place in a tough Metropolitan Division. They sit behind the Devils and Hurricanes.

The Rangers bested the Leafs in their lone previous meeting of the season. New York defeated Toronto 3-1 at Madison Square Garden back in mid-December. The two teams are scheduled to play once more this year after Wednesday, with that game coming on the final day of the regular season. 

After the Bruins-Islanders contest, the Oilers and Blue Jackets conclude the night’s action in Edmonton. 

Edmonton has won six games in a row, boosting their record to 27-18-3. The Oilers trail the Golden Knights, Kraken and Kings in the Pacific Division. Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets own the worst record in the league at 14-30-2. 

The two teams will meet again in late February, with that contest taking place in Columbus.

Which NHL games are on TNT tonight? 

TNT is back again with a doubleheader, as two of the games tonight will be on the broadcast network. 

Up first will be a battle between the Maple Leafs and the Rangers in Toronto. After, it will be a cross-conference matchup between the Oilers and Blue Jackets.

What time is Maple Leafs vs. Rangers?

  • Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, Ont.

The puck drop for the Maple Leafs and Rangers game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

The game will be played at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. 

What time is Oilers vs. Blue Jackets?

  • Time: 10 p.m. ET
  • Location: Rogers Place, Edmonton, Alta. 

The puck drop for the Oilers vs. Blue Jackets contest is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET but could be pushed back further depending on how long the previous game goes. 

The game will be played at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
