YouTube star Deji responds to fight offer from rapper Swarmz after one-punch KO

Deji has dismissed a fight call-out from rapper Swarmz following his one-punch KO win over Ryan Taylor.

Rapper Swarmz made his boxing debut last year where he was dominated and stopped by YouTube star KSI after stepping in at short notice. Despite many questioning his ability, Swarmz elected to train harder and make a return to the ring at the weekend against Taylor on the latest Misfits Boxing Show.

In incredible fashion, Swarmz was sent into wild celebrations by picking up a win in the first round after allegedly injuring his rival in the opening round with the first shot. Upon securing his redemption, the musician targeted bigger and better contests calling out the likes of influencers King Kenny and Deji.

He said on the DAZN broadcast after his win: “It was a touch, we call it a little touch. I’ve been working hard for this moment as everyone saw me get battered by KSI, calling me a ballerina. It’s been playing on my mind so I had to get redemption. I’m a musician that has come into the boxing game I can’t wait bro.

“Next fight I’m ready. Where’s Deji? Where’s King Kenny? All the respect, I’m a fair guy. Deji and Kenny are top of the game, top five. I can’t wait for it to happen.” Deji has since issued a dismissive response, insisting that he is levels above his potential rival after sharing the ring with Floyd Mayweather in November.

“Swarmz was looking good, Swarmz was looking good. He called me out though, don’t know what that was all about,” Deji replied in a video uploaded to his YouTube channel while assessing the rapper’s performance. “Right now, you’re doing ok, I don’t want to ruin that for you. I suggest you stay in your lane and stay with the scrubs, you’re not with the upper echelons.”

YouTube star Deji managed to give boxing legend Mayweather a black eye despite being stopped in their exhibition last year, just months after picking up his first win with an impressive win over Fousey. And despite discussing the option of a clash with King Kenny, Swarmz believes Deji is an ideal opponent given his stature.

“When I got whooped by KSI it actually broke my self-confidence,” he told Fred Talks Fighting. “I wasn’t going to box again but I’m not going to lie even though I want to fight Deji next, he did inspire me because I seen him lose more than once and he came back and got redemption.

“Obviously he’s got a different story but it’s similar, we lost and now we’ve come back and got redemption. That’s why I called it redemption. We’re the same build, plus as KSI beat me up it would be good to beat up his little brother as well.”
