World No 1 Iga Swiatek reveals she is enjoying “a dream vacation” in Anguilla. Anguilla, an island located in the Eastern Caribbean, is a very popular tourist destination and also one of the safest islands in that part of the Caribbean.

Swiatek, who enjoyed an astonishing season this year, is recharging her batteries before she kicks off her preparation for the 2023 season. “My dream vacation after two years of work, challenges and good moments when my life changed a lot.

One of the things that hasn’t changed (and there are more of them) is. I still find peace surrounded by nature. Thanks @belmondcapjuluca for having me,” Swiatek wrote on Instagram.

Iga Swiatek put up a historic season

In 2022, Swiatek made nine finals and won eight titles – including Grand Slam victories at the French Open and US Open.

Also, Swiatek had a run of 37 consecutive wins – that set the new record for the most consecutive wins on the WTA Tour in the 21st century. Once Swiatek’s season was over, that was when she was finally able to fully reflect on what she was able to accomplish in 2022.

“Last few days I had more time to realize fully and embrace what happened this year. It’s challenging to describe it with one word or even a sentence. What I know for sure is that it was special and I’ll never forget it.

On one hand my results were amazing, but on the other hand is what I learned about myself and it is a completely different story. There is still a lot of work, challenges and learning, that’s for sure and I’m excited about it.

I’m still processing a bit but I would not accomplish everything I did without my team. Thank you, Tomasz, Daria, Maciej. Many thanks to my business team, to my family and sponsors. And last but not least, thank YOU for your support and being with me all season long. This season was quite an adventure because of you, too,” Swiatek wrote on Instagram.
