W

ales begin their World Cup countdown with a trip to Belgium for a UEFA Nations League double-header that also includes the visit of Poland to Cardiff.

Rob Page is gearing up to lead his country to their first World Cup since 1958 and, naturally, all of the focus will be on Qatar.

Still, the fact Wales sit bottom of their group will be a concern. While Welsh football has largely been one big success story in recent years, relegation from Group A4 would be hugely disappointing.

For Belgium, this World Cup seems like one too far for their much-heralded golden generation in terms of genuine expectations to win it. They do, however, still boast a huge amount of quality.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

Date, kick-off time and venue

The Nations League game is scheduled for a 7.45pm kick-off time on Thursday September 22, 2022.

The King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels will host.

Belgium vs Wales team news

Both Ben Davies and Joe Allen are missing from the Wales squad, although Page is not concerned about either injury problem being a long-term one.
