Logan Baker from watch retailer Hodinkee identified what timepieces the 2022 US Open champions, Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz, wore after they won the titles they have spent two weeks fighting for; and they wore the same brand as Federer sported.

“Women’s Singles champion Iga Świątek had a 2022 to remember, taking home both the French Open and U.S. Open trophies. She opted for a Rolex Lady-Datejust in Everose Gold after winning the U.S. Open Women’s Singles title,” Logan Baker writes on Hodinkee’s official website.

“Carlos Alcaraz, just 19 years old, beat Casper Ruud in the 2022 U.S. Open Men’s Singles final earlier this evening, in the process becoming the youngest number one ranked men’s single player in ATP history. He wore a black-dial Rolex Daytona ref.

116500 while accepting the trophy,” Baker also pointed out.

About Iga Swiatek’s watch

According to Rolex, Iga Swiatek Datejust watch “is available in three sizes: 31, 36 and 41 mm. Each version comes with a large selection of dials in different colours, finishes and materials.

They include diamond-set or mother-of-pearl dials as well as Jubilee, palm and fluted laseretched motifs, which are applied to a traditional sunray finish for a particularly sophisticated effect, exclusive to the Datejust”.

About Carlos Alcaraz’s watch

According to Rolex, the Cosmograph Daytona “is inextricably linked to the world of motor racing. It allows drivers to measure elapsed time and read average speeds on its trademark tachymetric bezel.

The watch pays tribute to a place – Daytona, Florida – where passion for speed and racing developed in the early 20th century. The name embodies the historic and privileged bonds between Rolex and motor sport, which were strengthened in 2013 by the brand’s entry into the world of Formula 1® racing as Global Partner and Official Timepiece”.

Besides Swiatek and Alcaraz, other US Open champions that have worn Rolex were Roger Federer, Rod Laver, Chris Evert, Stefan Edberg, Pat Rafter, Justine Henin, Juan Martín del Potro, Angelique Kerber, Sloane Stephens and Dominic Thiem.
