Everyone associated with Liverpool is desperate to turn things around amidst the Reds worst ever start to a Premier League season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side has played three games and are still searching for a win after draws against Fulham and Crystal Palace respectively, before a particularly dismal showing against long-term rivals Manchester United resulted in a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford.
The Reds boss recently confessed it would be “cool” to sign another midfielder before the transfer window closes but also conceded that he is not in charge of how much money the club spends in what many perceived to be a subtle shot at those above him in the Liverpool hierarchy.

Klopp handed “all is not well” warning
Liverpool’s manager has been told by former Spurs and Chelsea star-turned-pundit Glenn Hoddle that turning the tide on their recent form is essential as he claimed “all is not well” at Anfield.
Hoddle did concede that the club’s recent injury crisis has hardly helped matters, explaining: “It is not as good as they’d like it to be – they have got a lot of injuries at the moment with key players out,” the ex-Monaco man told BT Sport.
“It is very difficult to set a standard and keep it, but they’ve had to do it in back-to-back seasons. They had the two domestic cups they won, but all is not well there.
“I think they’ve got enough quality, on and off the pitch, with Klopp and his experience, to turn it back around. But they cannot let City get five, six points away from them so early in the season.”

Reds discover Champions League opponents
Following Thursday evening’s draw in Istanbul, Liverpool have found out who they will take on in the Champions League group stage this season.
Klopp’s troops form one half of a ‘Battle of Britain’ tie that sees Liverpool and Rangers meet for the first time in their history in a competitive sense, though they have faced off in 10 friendlies since 1892.
Liverpool will also take on Dutch giants Ajax and Serie A titans Napoli as they aim to reach the knockout stages of the competition once again.
Both Ajax and Napoli have visited Anfield relatively recently and will be familair with the kind of threat Liverpool pose, making them more dangerous in the eyes of the Reds who will have to be at their best in each game to progress.

Klopp relishing “proper group”

The Liverpool boss could barely contain his excitment when discussing the three opponents his side will clash with during the group stage of this season’s Champions League.
Speaking about the draw, Klopp told reporters: “The first thing to say is this is a proper, proper challenge. Rangers are a new opponent for us but we know them, too.
“Their story over the last few years has been really interesting and they did really, really well to qualify for the group stage, given the teams they were up against in the qualifying matches.
