Transfer news LIVE! Arsenal’s Pino interest grows; Chelsea hopeful on Aubameyang; Casemiro Man United medical

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham remain firmly in contention for new signings as we edge closer to the summer transfer window deadline. Arsenal’s interest in Villarreal starlet Yeremy Pino is only said to be growing with Mikel Arteta targeting the addition of a new winger before September 1, while a swoop for long-term target Youri Tielemans could also yet transpire.

Chelsea are still very busy indeed, pushing ahead with a deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as they also try to land Barcelona team-mate Frenkie de Jong, Leicester’s Wesley Fofana and Everton winger Anthony Gordon. The Blues have their eye on Christopher Nkunku long-term and could even allow Christian Pulisic to join Manchester United on loan this month… provided the American signs a new contract at Stamford Bridge first.

United are being linked with all kind of late-window swoops, with an agreement with Real Madrid over Casemiro and bid for Antony at Ajax. Tottenham, meanwhile, are set to make Blackburn defender Ashley Phillips their eighth signing of the summer. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip with our LIVE blog below!

Chelsea eye Nkunku, Leao and Kalajdzic

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who turned 33 in June, is only a short-term solution to Chelsea’s issues, it would appear.

The Blues also have their focus on longer-term attacking targets, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Those include Christopher Nkunku, who was on Chelsea’s radar this summer before signing a new two-year contract at RB Leipzig.

AC Milan’s Rafael Leao and Stuttgart forward Sasa Kalajdzic are also reportedly other transfer candidates for Thomas Tuchel.

Man United fail with £67.6m Antony bid

Manchester United’s quest to land Ajax winger Antony looks decidedly tougher, however.

The Red Devils are revisiting their earlier summer interest in the Brazilian, who worked under Erik ten Hag in Amsterdam.

Per Sky Sports, United tabled a £67.6m for the 22 year-old yesterday, but it has since been dismissed by the Eredivisie giants, who do not want to sell.

United have yet to decide whether to increase their offer, meanwhile.

Casemiro set for Man United medical

Casemiro is poised to swap Real Madrid for Manchester United.

The seasoned Brazilian midfielder has become the primary focus of busy transfer attentions at Old Trafford in recent days as they scramble to complete a few late high-profile incomings after a dismal opening to the Erik ten Hag era.

While at first such a move looked fanciful at best, real progress has now been made and Casemiro does indeed look to be heading to Manchester.

Per multiple outlets including the Daily Mail, United have agreed a £60m deal with Madrid for the 30-year-old, who will sign a lucrative four-year contract and undergo a medical this weekend after heartfelt talks with Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Tottenham to make Phillips eighth summer signing

Tottenham are set to clinch their eighth signing of a busy summer window, according to reports.

Spurs swooped for Udinese full-back Destiny Udogie last week, having already welcomed Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic, Clement Lenglet, Djed Spence and Fraser Forster to north London so far.

Now they have their eye firmly fixed on another potential star of the future in Ashley Phillips.

The Daily Mail report that Tottenham are poised to beat the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United to a deal for the 17-year-old Blackburn defender, who has already made quite an impression at senior level at Ewood Park.

Spurs football director Fabio Paratici is expected to give the deal the green light.

Chelsea hopeful over Aubameyang deal

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Chelsea looks to be on.

Thomas Tuchel wants to reunite with the Gabon striker whom he knows so well from their time together at Borussia Dortmund, boosting his firepower at Stamford Bridge after the exits of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner.

Fresh talks were held on Thursday, with The Times reporting that Chelsea are now hopeful of striking a deal with Barcelona, who are looking to improve their financial situation and be able to register the likes of Jules Kounde and Marcos Alonso.

Ex-Arsenal captain Aubameyang is believed to be open to returning to London, but the report adds that he is yet to reach a definitive decision on his future.

Arsenal’s Pino interest ‘growing’

Arsenal’s interest in Yeremy Pino is only growing by the day it seems.

The Villarreal starlet has emerged as a key target for the Gunners as Mikel Arteta tries to add a new winger to his squad before the September 1 transfer deadline.

Arsenal are expected to have to fork out around £42m for Pino, with the rumours now really building and Yellow Submarine boss Unai Emery having admitted that the LaLiga outfit will sell for the right price.

“Yeah, I mean, Pino and the sort of Arsenal interest is growing, I think that is fair to say,” CBS journalist Ben Jacobs told GiveMeSport.

“And it’s definitely one to watch between now and when the window shuts. And one of the reasons for that is because there is a need at the Villarreal end to sell.”

Phillips eyed by Tottenham

Fabio Paratici was at Reading last night to witness prospective new signing Ashley Phillips in action for Blackburn.

The Mail claim a deal is close for the 17-year-old defender, who has enjoyed a fine start to the season at Ewood Park but was nonetheless given the runaround by Shane Long as Rovers lost 3-0 on Wednesday night.

Chelsea and Manchester United are also in for Phillips ahead of his Blackburn contract expiring in a year’s time.

Casemiro keen on Man United move

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has told Carlo Ancelotti he wants to leave for Manchester United.

The Mail report on a £60m-plus deal for the Brazilian being in the offing following talks between Casemiro and Real chiefs on Wednesday.

A big pay rise is also set to come the player’s way as he considers a new challenge in England.

Nizaar Kinsella’s Chelsea update

Chelsea met with Barcelona and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s representatives this afternoon to convince him to move to Stamford Bridge.

The former Arsenal captain is reluctant to make a summer switch, having arrived at Camp Now just seven months ago at the end of the January transfer window.

But Aubameyang is willing to reject interest from Manchester United for Chelsea if he does decide to move.

Malinovskyi wife slams sale

The wife of Tottenham target Ruslan Malinovskyi has slammed Atalanta for agreeing to sell the Ukrainian midfielder.

“Naturally, it’s very sad for us, but this is life in football. He has to think about his future as a professional football player,” Roksana Malinovskyi wrote on Instagram.

“We are happy here. We were not ready to have to change our lives. The transfer window is coming to an end and now we are forced to seek other options. Seek… because there is a serious reason. You have to read between the lines.

“Ruslan was preparing for the new season and we moved into our new house, but something went wrong. You must only understand that none of us wanted to go anywhere else.”
