Transfer news LIVE! Arsenal WILL bid for Tielemans; Chelsea want Pino; Garner to Tottenham; rumours, gossip

While the Premier League is now in full swing, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea all remain active in this summer’s transfer market. At Arsenal, Mikel Arteta has hinted he is not done yet in the window with a Youri Tielemans bid in the works.

Yeremy Pino is another target but Chelsea have been named as keen on the winger. Thomas Tuchel is understood to be desperate to add to his squad, with a £45m bid Everton’s Anthony Gordon rejected. Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang remain options as a move for Cesare Casadei nears completion.

Spurs, meanwhile, have been frustrated in their attempts to sign Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo and could turn to James Garner as a surprise alternative, while Destiny Udogie is now officially a Tottenham player. Elsewhere, Antonio Conte’s clear-out also continues at a pace. Follow all the latest transfer news, gossip and rumours below!

Anthony Gordon has been told to stay at Everton despite interest from Chelsea.

The forward has been the subject of two offers from Stamford Bridge with Thomas Tuchel having identified Gordon as a primary target.

Sources close to the situation suggest a bid of around £50m would be enough to reach a breakthrough in talks, though Everton currently insist the player is not for sale.

Frank Lampard is believed to view the academy graduate as integral to his plans, although the club’s hand could be forced should a large bid be made.

Crystal Palace told they must pay club-record fee to sign Ismaila Sarr as Watford hold firm over star winger

Crystal Palace face having to break their transfer record to sign Ismaila Sarr from Watford.

Palace have expressed an interest in signing the winger this summer and Watford are braced for a formal offer from the Eagles.

Watford paid £30million to sign Sarr from Rennes in 2019 and they will not accept less than that.

That would make the Senegal international the new record signing for Palace, whose current record in the £27m they paid to sign Christian Benteke from Liverpool in 2016.

Sarr has two years left on his contract at Watford and has so far not agitated for a move away.

Bernardo Silva open to Manchester City stay

Quite how Barcelona planned to afford signing Bernardo Silva was not at all clear, though the LaLiga giants have found a way with other additions this summer.

While City aren’t exactly short on options, the idea of the Portuguese leaving would naturally have been a scary one for supporters, who have already seen Raheem Sterling, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus leave.

According to The Athletic, Silva is now keen to stay at the Etihad Stadium for at least another season.

Everton could land Tottenham transfer target James Garner

Tottenham were one of the more left-field suggestions as a potential landing sport for James Garner earlier this week.

Despite impressing on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, the midfielder does not look likely to get much of a chance in the Manchester United team even amid all of their problems.

Spurs were one of many teams credited with an interest, though Football Insider claim it is Everton who would most likely make a move.
