Incredible and grotesque situation that took place during a tennis game. A man from Novato was arrested on suspicion of assaulting two children who interfered with his tennis game at Pioneer Park. Police said 61-year-old Olaf Becker had asked two children, ages 7 and 8, to stop throwing objects on the park’s tennis courts that were in use.

Becker was arrested on charges of child abuse and bodily harm to a child and taken to Marin County Jail. One child reportedly sustained minor injuries. Novato paramedics assessed both children and then released them to their parents, Howard said.

Police also said Becker said he confronted the children but denied hitting them. Becker said the children repeatedly threw wood chips and sticks on the tennis court while he was playing. He said he held one of the kids’ shirt energetically.

He also said the issue was completely disproportionate. He would explain: “To them it was more like a, whatever, they would try to seek their own limits, and obviously no respect for adults.” Police Lieutenant Michael Howard: “Becker reportedly shot both children, resulting in minor injuries to one child.

Families in the immediate vicinity intervened and Becker is back on the tennis courts.”

US Open 2022: will Novak Djokovic be there?

According to the health regulations currently in force in the US, Novak Djokovic will not be able to enter the country to play the US Open 2022.

For the Serb champion winner of Wimbledon 2022 it would be the second tournament of the year that he would miss due to his decision not to get vaccinated, after Melbourne.
Instead, there should be Rafael Nadal, who has fully recovered from the abdominal injury remedied in the Championships.

As we know well, also Roger Federer will be aboit of Flushing Meadows, despite the Swiss will come back on the court for the Laver Cup and the Swiss Indoor in Basel. Serena Williams, instead, should play the US Open.
