Everton have agreed a deal to sign Dwight McNeil from Burnley, with the winger undergoing a medical on Wednesday, 90min understands.

The two clubs have been in contact for some time over an agreement for McNeil, who already has over 100 Premier League appearances to his name at the age of 22.

Now, 90min understands that a £20m deal including add-ons has been finalised. Things have moved swiftly, with McNeil undergoing a medical at the club’s Finch Farm training complex on Wednesday evening. It is expected that an official announcement will come soon.

The Englishman is set to become Frank Lampard’s third signing of the summer, after James Tarkowski and Ruben Vinagre.

Last season McNeil made 40 appearances in all competitions, failing to score and registering just one assist. He also could not prevent Burnley being relegated, and it is thought that the Clarets demotion has played a significant role in his departure.

He becomes the latest member of the Burnley squad to leave Turf Moor this summer, with Nathan Collins, Nick Pope, Wout Weghorst and Aaron Lennon among the big names to depart.
