The data where Alcaraz is better than Federer, Nadal and Djokovic

Carlos Alcaraz flies on the grass of Wimbledon 2022. The Spaniard number two is considered one of the big favorites, although he has less experience on grass than others in this tournament, such as Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.

The debut on this surface was not, however, the simplest: it was necessary to win in the fifth set, after a battle lasting just over four hours, to win against the German Struff, author of a great match on Court no.1 of Wimbledon.

In the second round, however, Alcaraz proved to have learned more confidence in English grass, winning in three sets against Dutchman Griekspoor. With this victory, the talent of Murcia has secured the third round in the British Grand Slam, where another German tennis player will await him: Oscar Otte, current number thirty-six in the world, who in the previous rounds defeated his countryman Gojowczyk at the debut and Harrison in the second round.

The third round goal not only allows him to move forward in the tournament, but also sets him another record. In the 4th round he will face Jannik Sinner.

The data of Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz only needed seven Slams to reach at least the third round in all four events.

Third round is the highest goal achieved so far at the Australian Open and Wimbledon; in the other two stages, however, he went further, reaching the quarter-finals at the US Open and Roland Garros. In this particular ranking, Alcaraz did better than Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.

His compatriot, as reported by Punto de Break, needed eight participations; the other two members of the Big Three, on the other hand, needed nine participations to achieve this goal. The race of the winner of two Masters 1000, however, did not end there.

The Spaniard can improve on this figure and reach the quarter-finals also in Wimbledon, where Novak Djokovic could be waiting for him. Alcaraz could be the real heir of the big 3, and he could dominate the tennis scene in the next years.
