World No. 10 Matteo Berrettini remains without a loss at the Queen’s Club as he is now just a win away from winning back-to-back titles at Queen’s. On Saturday, Berrettini saw off Botic van de Zandschulp 6-4 6-3 to improve his record to 9-0 at the Queen’s Club.

Berrettini earned the first break of the match in the sixth game, but failed to serve out for the first set in the ninth game. However, failing to serve out for the first set didn’t impact Berrettini, who broke van de Zandschulp again in the 10th game, when the Dutch was serving to stay in the first set.

Berrettini had a 3-2 lead in the second set, and a break point on van de Zandschulp’s serve, when the match was stopped due to rain. When the match continued, Berrettini realized his break point and then held on to his serve the rest of the match to complete a straight-set win.

“It was a really tough match. We stopped for the rain. I had a lot of chances. It was windy again and really tough to play but I definitely think it was the best match of the week, so I am really happy and looking forward to the final,” Berrettini said, per the ATP website.

Berrettini plays Filip Krajinovic next

Next up for Berrettini will be Serbia’s Krajinovic, who upset Marin Cilic 6-3 6-3. Krajinovic, 30, is playing at the Queen’s Club for the first time in his career and now he is a win away from winning his first ATP title at the tournament.

“It is an unbelievable feeling,” Krajinovic said. “I can’t believe I am in the final. Before this tournament I had never won a match on grass. [I thought] I would come here and win just one or maybe two matches, but now I am in the final.

It is a dream come true. It is traditional and an honour to play here in front of you guys. It is a dream for me.”
