It will go down as one of the most magical runs in UEFA Champions League history as Real Madrid added to their record trophy haul in the competition with 14 and counting. They have double the number of the trophies by the next best team (AC Milan).

Real Madrid reached the UEFA Champions League final after a number of incredible come-from-behind victories during the knockout stages.

It started with a comeback against PSG in the Round of 16, holding off defending champions Chelsea in the quarterfinals, and then the most incredible comeback against Manchester City in the semifinals.

Trailling 5-3 on aggregate heading into injury-time of the second leg, Real struck twice in two minutes via Rodrygo to send the tie to extra-time.

Karim Benzema then converted a penalty in the extra period to send Madrid through to the 2021-22 Champions League final against Liverpool where Vinicius Junior’s second-half strike secured them a 1-0 win and a 14th European Cup.

The 2021-22 La Liga champions are certainly no strangers to the big stage.
