FC Barcelona wants to lower the salaries of three of its managers –

According to brand, FC Barcelona would negotiate a drop in salary with three of its managers, Gérard Piqué (35 years old), Sergio Busquets (33 years old) and Jordi Alba (33 years old). The Catalan club is obliged to take such a step with its executives because otherwise it will not have sufficient funds to be able to be active during the next summer transfer window.

The three Spanish players would cost Barça around 100 million euros next season, a substantial sum divided between salaries and bonuses, which must be quickly reduced by the club. The negotiations wouldn’t be easy for the Blaugrana, however, as none of the players mentioned have already taken a salary cut. The case of Busquets, however, seems the simplest because the Spanish midfielder sees his contract end in June 2023 while Pique and Alba are engaged with Barcelona until 2024, which could block negotiations.
