{"id":375165,"date":"2025-07-10T19:27:38","date_gmt":"2025-07-10T19:27:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ng\/2025\/07\/10\/lagos-police-adjust-movement-restriction-ahead-of-july-12-lg-poll\/"},"modified":"2025-07-10T19:27:38","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T19:27:38","slug":"lagos-police-adjust-movement-restriction-ahead-of-july-12-lg-poll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ng\/2025\/07\/10\/lagos-police-adjust-movement-restriction-ahead-of-july-12-lg-poll\/","title":{"rendered":"Lagos Police Adjust Movement Restriction Ahead Of July 12 LG Poll"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Lagos State Police Command has announced a revised timeframe for movement restrictions ahead of the Local Government elections scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement released on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said vehicular and waterways movement will now be restricted from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., as opposed to the previously announced 3:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>According to Hundeyin, the adjustment was made to ease the burden on residents with urgent travel and medical needs.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo alleviate the problem of residents with critical medical emergencies and appointments, and those with longtime international travel plans in and out of the country, the restriction of vehicular movement is hereby readjusted to commence at 6:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025, and not from 3am as earlier announced,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>READ MORE:https:\/\/www.informationng.com\/2025\/07\/anambra-guber-ukachukwu-promises-n2m-to-ward-with-highest-cvr-turnout.html<\/p>\n<p>He further appealed to the public to support the decision. \u201cMembers of the public are enjoined to cooperate and respect the new timing, as it is for the greater good of all,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, assured Lagosians of a peaceful and well-secured voting process, reiterating the command\u2019s commitment to a free and fair election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are committed to a secure, peaceful and credible election.
